Grill expertise

Charcoal grills,
kept honest.

Kettles, kamados, offsets — the purist's fire asks for the most disciplined care.

Charcoal is the most demanding fuel a grill can burn. Ash left in the bowl draws moisture and eats steel from the inside; vents gum shut; gaskets crumble mid-season. A charcoal grill doesn't need gadget service — it needs airflow, clean steel, and seasoned grates. That's the whole craft, done right.

01 — The work

What we do for charcoal.

From Hermosa Beach walk-streets to backyards across the South Bay, our valets keep charcoal grills breathing. Every visit covers the same four disciplines — ash out, grates restored, airflow tuned, seals tight.

01

Ash-out & deep clean

Ash systems emptied and the bowl scraped clean — ash plus marine-layer moisture makes lye, and lye is what rusts kettles from the inside out.

02

Grate restoration & seasoning

Grates cleared of surface rust, scraped, and seasoned with food-safe oil so they're ready for the next chimney of coals — cast iron treated like the heirloom it is.

03

Vent & damper tuning

Top and bottom dampers freed, cleaned, and lubricated. Airflow is a charcoal grill's only thermostat — we make sure yours actually turns.

04

Gasket, band & hinge service

Kamado felt gaskets checked and replaced, bands torqued, kettle hinges and one-touch systems rebuilt before they fail mid-cook.

02 — Brands we service

Every brand has habits.
We know them.

A Weber kettle and a 250-pound ceramic kamado fail in completely different ways. Our valets train on both — the steel and the ceramic, the one-touch and the daisy wheel.

Premier
Weber
The kettle, since 1952

The original and still the benchmark. We rebuild one-touch systems in our sleep.

Premier
Kamado Joe
Ceramic · divide & conquer

Heavy ceramic, felt gaskets, banded hinges — everything torqued and aligned, every visit.

Premier
Big Green Egg
The original kamado

A lifetime ceramic that outlives its gaskets and bands many times over. We keep pace.

Premier
Primo
Oval ceramic · two-zone fire

The oval shape grills two ways at once — and collects ash in places only we look.

Premier
PK Grills
Cast aluminum · since 1952

Rustproof aluminum with fifty-year stories. We service the vents and grates that aren't.

Premier
Hasty-Bake
Adjustable charcoal trays

Cranks, doors, and moving fireboxes — a mechanical grill that rewards mechanical care.

03 — Common problems

Fixed before you notice.

01

Stuck dampers

Ash, grease, and salt air cementing the vents — the grill still burns, you just can't steer it.

02

Rust-pitted bowls

Ash left over the off-season holds moisture against bare steel. The fix is a schedule, not a part.

03

Crumbling gaskets

Kamado felt cooks away a little every burn — the tell is smoke leaking at the seam and temps that won't settle.

04

Choked airflow

Ash buildup above the grate line starves the fire. Twenty minutes of climb to temp that used to take five.

05

Temperature swings

A warped lid or failed seal letting air in where the damper can't meter it — the kamado's quiet failure mode.
